Workshop 2: Defining research infrastructure requirements for bioinformatics in Ohio. Introduction by M. Raymer & Ashok Krishnamurthy. This session will explore bioinformatics capabilities and requirements of participants in the Ohio Bioinformatics Consortium. Each participating institution will present their research interests and computational capabilities, including any specialized hardware, software, or other computational infrastructure that may be made available to other consortium members. Computational and data needs, as well as opportunities for collaboration will also be presented. Presentations will be followed by a guided discussion to identify key members of the consortium that are interested in helping to define a research infrastructure for bioinformatics in Ohio.
